Have had this jacket just over a year now and sadly it is not waterproof at all.
Even the slightest rain just soaks into the material and through to the inside.
It's a nice looking and fitting jacket but I bought it as a waterproof and it is just not that at all.
It started wetting through a few months after purchase so now I only wear it in good weather.

I bought this jacket a year ago, nice fit and works well however I have only worn it for 4 of the last 12 months and the zip has broken. For the price I would expect it to last a lot longer.

Really comfortable feel to this jacket. i purchased it for my son as a hiking waterproof, but now he wears iteveryday, no matter what the weather. Despite being black and sift to touch, it remains clean looking and dust free which is a bonus. Plus the DWR is the best I have come across. Great Jacket!

Received my jacket yesterday and put it immediately to use in mixed weather for a short walk with the dog. I stayed dry and was surprised at how windproof it is too. I bought this as a replacement to my 5 year old Orkan that has lasted well and retained good performance but now has repairs on top of repairs. I feel like the Forsvar, fit wise at least is a carbon copy of the Orkan. I’ve used my Orkan as a heavy weather cycling jacket, as the hood goes over a helmet and the sleeves (they are slightly long) work well in a cycling position and I will use the Forsvar for the same primary purpose. The Forsvar fits the same, hood works the same over my bike helmet, only the fabric is different, being a bit crunchier than the fabric of he Orkan. I can’t speak to the eco credentials of the fabric, I bought it because it seemed a better deal than the Orkan at the time, and I’m very happy with the jacket and it’s performance, especially given the price paid (half price at point of purchase). Would I have bought at full price? No. I’d have bought a lesser quality jacket for the same money, but this is (IMO) excellent quality at the price point I paid.

The quality and materials used are impressive. Love the colour and it’s become my ‘Go To’ jacket given the never ending rain!
