Designed for hiking, backpacking, wild camping, bikepacking, and everything in between, the Gokotta 2 can be put up in minutes using a simple one-pole system, and offers a spacious free-standing design, with two separate doors and vestibule areas - giving you ease of access and livable space for two campers, or plenty of room for 1 camper to spread out.

Despite the light weight, the Gokotta doesn’t skimp on features, offering internal storage pockets, hang loops and hooks, easily adjustable Dyneema guy-lines, 2-way YKK door zippers, two vents for optimal airflow, and an easy-to-use packable bag to quickly and effortlessly pack your tent away. Both doors can be completely rolled back when required, giving great accessibility and visibility from within the tent.

A 3000mm hydrostatic head rainfly and a 5000mm bath-tub style floor area keep you and your kit dry and secure in the worst of rain, whilst the easily adjustable Dyneema guy-lines allow you to add stability if the weather takes a turn for the worst. good but I have doubt in stormy/rainy conditions

We used the tent in our recent bike touring trip to Pamir. We used it out-of-the box, but bought some extra pegs (4 extra is the bare minimum you need in windy conditions).
We appreciated the tent for its generous dimensions despite the very compact and lightweight setup. It is easy to sit inside (e.g. while getting changed) and there is plenty of space in the vestibules (each of us could fit all the 4 bike bags and still have plenty of room to get in/out).
However, despite all our efforts, is does not seem possible to have the rainfly really straight and correctly tensioned. It looked to us very prone to creating a water sack and its quite noisy due to flapping even under a gentle breeze. We thus have serious doubt about the performance in rainy or stormy conditions, but we had not the occasion to test this in our trip.

We’re glad to hear the tent worked well for your trip and that you found the space and vestibules useful.

The rainfly is designed to pitch taut, so it shouldn’t form water pockets if all guy-lines are used and tensioned correctly. With the extra pegs and a full setup, it should stay secure and stable even in wind and heavy rain.

As a 3-season tent it’s built to cope with sustained wet weather, and using all guy-out points will give the best performance in stormier conditions.

If you do get the chance to use it in rougher weather, we’d love to hear how it holds up for you.

Solid tent - but some obvious flaws that need addressing

Solid lightweight tent, that’s easy to put up but some annoying design flaws that are hard to ignore for the price (ie the door tie backs are too low and the Velcro vents at either end don’t work). The thinness of the bottom makes me a little nervous. Wish the look was a little jazzier but I guess dark green is standard for wild camping.
