At Fjern we know what it's like to be wet and cold because your kit couldn't handle what Mother Nature decided to dish out. We set out to make an essential range of kit to keep the elements at bay, with an unwavering focus on end use in our design and alpinism at its heart.
Drawing inspiration from kit we've used and abused over our combined 150 years in the Outdoors, Fjern was created by a group of UK based passionate outdoor enthusiasts with lifetimes of experience as mountaineers, skiers, hikers, mountain guides and climbers.

Son is keen climber and had done his research- chose this. He was very pleased with it
The big pot is large for 1 person, but it was perfect for 2. Of course we purchased separately an extra cup. It packs really flat and we loved the pierced lid that lets steam out and is very handy when draining pasta or when pouring tea that was brewed with tea leaves.

Only wore it for a little while but seems really good, very comfortable and a good fit.
I haven't had the chance to out it to the test yet, as the weather's been too warm! I love the colour, the fit is good, it has lots of pockets and a really well-fitted hood.
Like the tent I am astonished, for the price, at how good the Fjern kit is.
Very glad I took a chance on this well priced jacket from this little known brand, to me. It arrived quickly and well packaged. My first impressions were the excellent overall quality and the stylish colour scheme. I'm a between size M/L and opted for the L, this fits me to a tee. Only worn outside briefly due to too good weather atm. However everything (zips, pockets, hood, toggles and down-fill etc) all work well. I've no doubts this will meet all the elements of a N.E. UK winter really well. All in all an exceptional jacket.
Good fit. For an upcoming trip to Iceland so will see how well it holds up.
I had been looking for some time for this style jacket, I had looked at the Rab and the Patagonia and the Fjern was definitely the best for fit and value for money while being the same spec as the Rab and Patagonia. I’m so impressed I’ve ordered the body warmer version too!
